08/10/2010 creating stencils

I got images for the stencil i was making from google images. Before i started to make my own stencil i looked at the work of a artist named Banksy. The point i got from his work is that he always makes the point that the people he stencils want something and are  greedy. My response was Bin laden with a hippie costume on which emphasises war can never be made peaceful no matter who declares they shall have peace. On photoshopi had to merge the pictures together to make the joke on illustrator i made the picture print out in 6 different parts, and here is one screenshot of me using illustrator to edit the printing process:

01/11/2010 Creating our own type-faces

We created our own stencils using our own typefaces
to do this we had to print out letters as a4 from our alphabet folder to cut out wanted parts of the letters we used scissors or a craft knife(not cutting towards ourselfs with the knife ofcourse). Once is had the stencil i used the stencil to use and i used different drawing materials to make different patterns and textures the materials i used were : pencil pastel pen marker. I used one main technique which was just plain patterns diagonal and vertical. i used green and blue on one becuase i like the way both them colours blend in together. The way we documented our pictures was with 2 tungsten lightts which were to make the picture brighter whilst taking a photo of them.

October 11th-14th

Monday-
On monday we used our vectored alphabet to create titles of the Super Symmetry on photoshop for our posters we had to make a variety of titles and arranges so the poster would not look dull and unlikeful. As we were doingthis some of the group who missed taking photos last week went out and took photo’s.

Tuesday-
On tuesday we were carrying on with our research and drawings for our bugs ceramics projest and in the afternoon half the group did some Monoprinting( Thick ink on glass having a image traced into a piece of paper) and the other half of the group was just either drawing or carrying on with their research.

Thursday-
On thursday we did research from books and then we just went into the library and carried on with the research for tuesdays which we do on tuesdays 😛 😉 🙂 😀  this is a image i will probably use for tuesdays leason to help me get different aspects of a insects body to use for different parts of a ceramics piece.

Last week

Monday  27/09/10

Afternoon:   In the afternoon we used Photoshop and illustrator both of which are made by Adobe illustrator is mainly used for drawing to sharpen them we went into file and place to insert a logo of a club we liked to use Live trace so the drawing will not get pixelated when we stretch it. When we did that the picture changed from a Jpeg to a Vector which is just a more mathematical look at the picture. After which we can stretch the image which will not pixelate.

Photoshop:  Photoshop is to make picture be modivied such as on pictures of people you can warp certain areas of the picture to make it look more funny or more clean and sharp. In photoshop we imported the pictures from illustrator to make our poster and on photoshop we added text and different effects towards the poster to make it look more suffisticated. We did this by going to file and place and inserted our poster and started editing such as using the tool move and using the layout section in our panels.

Tuesday 28/09/10

Morning: We manipulated different types of ceramics to cross them with parts of animal parts  Eg: cricket legs holding a pot upwards. We did this all day we mainly were doing this as a brainstorm to get some ideas to actually make the piece of ceramics.

Thursday 30/09/10

Morning: We went into the library  as usual and we went onto the laptops to either look up 5 different Multi media artists or we were printing off our essays we were given when we went to the liverpool tate. We looked for artists on google and we had to write about the artist himself/ herself which is going to be used this week on either tuesday or thursday with Sophie.
